I may be a little old fashioned, but the little boy I was who thought it was cool to wander haphazardly through a story has been erased somewhat by a reader long used to linear, traditional narratives. I suspect that this book might be appealing to younger readers more attuned to the world of computer links, adventure games and narratives with no fixed path. While I liked this book a lot, and I'm sure anyone who appreciates Shakespeare will see that what North has done is both funny and a clever deconstruction of the text from a modern point of view, this aspect of the story was less appealing as I got further into the book.
As a reading experience, this raised some questions for me.
